Rolling Hills United Methodist Church

Classroom Expansion located in Rolling Hills Estates, CA

Rolling Hills United Methodist Church is located at 26438 Crenshaw Boulevard in Rolling Hills Estates, California. The project expanded the church campus with 16 classrooms, 6 offices, and an enlarged sanctuary to better support the congregation, preschool, and after-school programs while allowing for future growth.

The campus improvement responded to aging educational facilities that had long exceeded their original intended use. Church materials describe the older classroom buildings as approximately fifty years old and note that the replacement program was intended to create a safer, more flexible, and more modern environment for children and families using the campus throughout the week.

Project leadership was assumed during the Construction Documents and Construction Administration phases, with responsibility for advancing the design for permitting, coordinating consultant information, and resolving construction-related issues. The work focused on translating the established design into a buildable and code-compliant document set while maintaining continuity between architectural, structural, and jurisdictional requirements.

Overall, the CD and CA effort helped resolve code constraints, consultant discrepancies, and field conflicts so the expanded classroom facilities could be successfully delivered for church and school use.
